A Lion Carved in Wax, Cast in Silver

Hand-carved in wax before being cast in sterling silver at 4.12 grams, this oval medallion captures a rampant lion in fine relief, the kind of heraldic image found on centuries-old Venetian crests. Every detail, from the curve of the mane to the set of the paws, was carved into the wax model and finished by hand in our NYC studio. The oxidized finish settles into the recesses of the relief, giving the lion depth and shadow against the polished oval field.

Bold on Its Own, Versatile in a Stack

At just over an inch long with a compact 20mm by 19mm face, this pendant sits close to the collarbone and reads as confident rather than heavy. Wear it alone on its curb chain for a clean, singular statement, or layer it with a longer necklace for depth.
