Military Surplus, Taken Apart by Hand

Vintage camouflage takes the chest and hood, washed denim runs down the sleeves, and wool patches fill in wherever the piece asked for them. Underneath it all is a green cashmere and linen body, softer than the salvage sitting on top of it. The result reads military, but nothing about the construction is standard issue.

Across the back, a Bob Marley portrait sits faded into the fabric, more memory than graphic. Hand set studs catch light along the seams and a double sided brass zipper runs the full length so the fit opens up or closes down. The vintage materials came together once, in this combination, and cannot be sourced again.
